SFW Independent Soccer Club Development Contribution

FIFA is on the go, “The FA Women in Leadership Programme”… but can it be different from the men’s:
“In 2015, the Football Association (FA) became aware of a lack of female representation in leadership roles, particularly in the boardroom. In order to address this imbalance, The FA outlined a two-point strategy to identify, support and mentor women with potential and commitment to hold board positions specifically in football. The Institute of Directors worked with The FA to design and deliver a ground-breaking, pragmatic and impactful leadership programme. The project took place in 2017”

But what about the state of affairs with the men’s game? Club leadership support for manager/coach sustainability of high performance is obviously not an urgency on the global agenda, especially from the perspective of the clubs. Consequently, little independent writing on the subject is available to all clubs, while it is desperately needed at all levels male and female. So in spite of FIFA’s effort, there is a great need for private enterprise to engage in the process for ensuring the least restrictive path to information for the knowledge required to make global high performance progress.
